How does the converter work?
Drop a file in the box on the home page (or click to choose it) and you will see every format it can be converted to. Click one and the download starts. The whole conversion happens in your browser, on your device.
Which formats are supported?
Images: PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO, TIFF and SVG. Documents: PDF (to images or text) and images to PDF. Text and data: TXT, Markdown, HTML, CSV and JSON, which can become PDF or DOC too.
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. Files are read and converted locally by your browser and are never sent to us or to anyone else. When you close the tab they are removed from memory.
Is it really free? Are there limits?
Yes, it is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits. There are no ads either. The only practical limit is your device: very large files or PDFs over 100 pages may be slow or not supported.
How does background removal work?
Automatic mode removes solid backgrounds (logos, scans, products on white) starting from the edges; the tolerance slider decides how similar a colour must be to count as background. AI mode handles photos and complex backgrounds: the first time it downloads a model of about 40 MB, then it works on your device.
Why did the transparent background turn white?
Some formats do not support transparency: JPG, BMP, GIF and PDF get a white background. To keep it transparent, download PNG or WebP.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, iPad and computers. On phones, very large images or AI mode may take a little longer.
The download doesn't start or I get an error. What can I do?
Make sure your browser is up to date and try again. Some formats (like AVIF) depend on the browser: if it doesn't support them, you will see a message on the card. If the problem persists, write to us with the source format, the target format and the browser you use.
Is the site GDPR compliant?
Yes. Your files are never collected, there are no profiling or advertising cookies, and visit statistics are aggregate and anonymous. Details in the privacy policy and cookie policy.
